Your questions about “Natural Wines” – Tasting Box –

Organic wine is wine produced according to organic farming principles, both in the vineyard (organic viticulture) and in the cellar (organic vinification). The designation ‘organic wine’ has been regulated since 2012 by a European specification.

There are several forms of organic wine production: Biodynamics, natural wines, and vegan wines. Each of these forms of organic viticulture adheres to a specific set of rules regarding production and vinification.

A wine from organic farming is produced from vineyards that are not treated with pesticides. The methods for maintaining and protecting the vines must be 100% natural (flowers, copper, trees, etc.).

As for the vinification method, it must also be carried out with minimal intervention or only with natural additives, the list of which is established by the authorities that validate the certification.

Organic wines contain less sulfur or sulfites than wines from conventional agriculture. Let yourself be captivated by discovering the expertise of our Greek winemaker partners.

Generally, an organic wine, like all organic products, is a bit more expensive than a conventional wine. Studies have shown that this difference ranges from 15 to 20% compared to the prices of wines from conventional agriculture.
